The 4.5kg ABE HIGH PERFORMANCE (Dry Chemical Powder) Fire Extinguisher is MINES COMPLIANT fire extinguisher with a 80B rating, which means it has been designed to put out a larger area of fire for this size canister. This extinguisher is required in many mining operations as their minimum approved rating.

A very handy extinguisher as it achieves the same A, B and E class fire fighting abilities as that of many larger 9,0KG extinguishers yet it is smaller and more easy to handle weight wise than the 9.0KG ABE.

Great for fire protection needs of the construction and industrial workplace. It is the perfect combination of size, cost and fire fighting effectiveness. The 4.5kg Dry Chemical Powder HP fire extinguisher is ideal for Mine applications, factories as well as buses, trucks and larger commercial boats. It comes equipped with a flexible rubber hose which allows delivery of the powder to hard to access places as well as allow sweeping action on fires.

This 4.5Kg High Performance ABE fire extinguisher is a great multi-purpose fire extinguisher that is great to have at your workplace or mounted on your vehicle, boat or truck. Still a portable extinguisher and easy enough for all to use.

This type of fire extinguisher can be used on fires that involve flammable liquids like petrol, oil, LPG and paint. It can also be used on live electrical equipment fires as well as normal combustibles like wood, plastic, rubber, paper and textiles. And now flammable gas fires.

This is not an ideal fire extinguisher for oil or fat fires, where fat fires are a danger use a Wet Chemical type extinguisher.

Our 4.5kg ABE rated extinguisher now comes with a Class C rating for Gas Fires, giving an extra layer of protection compare to the rest of the market.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Dry chemical powder (DCP) fire extinguishers are a highly versatile fire extinguisher. Great for combating most types of fire risks A,B,C and E. They are often referred to as ABE/DCP Dry Chemical Powder Fire Extinguisher. Dry chemical powder fire extinguishers are safe, versatile and suited to high- risk environments or where the fire hazards are mixed. They are well suited for use on fires involving flammable liquids and flammable gases. They are also ideal for fighting fires in vehicles. ABE dry chemical powder fire extinguishers do not conduct electricity which makes them effective for use on electrical fires.

WHERE NOT TO USE

This dry powder fire extinguisher is not recommended for use on or nearby sensitive equipment such as computers etc. The residue can be vacuumed up once it has dried but it can be hard to remove if it has contacted a very hot surface.
This fire extinguisher is not suitable for fires involving cooking oil / fats.
